Continental circa 1810 and converted from flintlock, with slightly swamped octagonal 8in. barrel, blade fore-sight, moulded snail, flat lock with acanthus engraved detail and clipped tail, engraved slab-sided dolphin-headed hammer, walnut full-stock with chequered pistol-grip butt, flared pommel with central engraved iron butt-cap, guarded trigger and horn-tipped wood ramrod
